WHAT YOU SEE ON THE BACK OF YOUR RADIO

Antenna connection - Yeah, you knew that.

Two 2.5 audio connections - For the driver’s and passenger’s push-to-talk

Two female 5pin din -  For the two headsets (Extensions provided)

Male 5pin - To plug into original headset connection on the bike.

Power cables - To plug to your bike’s power system.

We are making the assumption that you already have an antenna mounted on your bike, and headsets in your helmets. If this is not the case, you can purchase these items from Cycle Comm.

We recommend you read all the way through this instruction booklet before starting your installation job.

You will be asked to take parts off your bike during the installation of your CC-VG1200 radio. If you are unfamiliar with the proper method of removing these parts you should consult your owner’s manual or shop manual before attempting to remove any parts off your bike.

1.                  Remove your seat.

2.                  Remove your mirrors.

3.                  Remove your windshield.

4.                  Remove the left front lower fairing.

5.                  Remove the faux gas tank cover.

If you do not have a CB antenna on your bike, this would be a good time to install one. You can purchase the original antenna and bracket from Air Rider if you like. Install the antenna as per the instructions included with your antenna. Route the antenna wire along the frame rails and into the left fairing pocket where it will be attached to the back of the CB.

You are now ready to start installing your new CC-VG1200 CB radio. We find it easier to mount the push-to-talk buttons and route the wires before installing the new radio.
